Refund policy

This policy supplements Dr. Rubber's Terms and Conditions of Sale. It clearly distinguishes returns initiated by the customer under the right of withdrawal from returns involving after-sales service, lack of conformity or an error attributable to Dr. Rubber.
1. Right of withdrawal
Under Article L.221-18 of the French Consumer Code, consumers have fourteen days from receiving their order to exercise their right of withdrawal without having to give a reason.
Withdrawal may be exercised using the online withdrawal function available on the website, the model form below or any other unambiguous statement expressing the wish to withdraw.
2. Returns following a change of mind or customer error
Where a return results from a change of mind, a size error or, more generally, the exercise of the right of withdrawal, the customer bears the direct cost of returning the goods.
After informing Dr. Rubber of the decision to withdraw, the customer must return the tyres without undue delay and no later than fourteen days after that notification.

The return must allow the order to be identified, particularly through the order number. Tyres must be properly protected for transport.
3. Condition of returned products
The consumer is responsible for any reduction in the product's value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and proper functioning.
A tyre is therefore not automatically excluded from the right of withdrawal simply because it has been handled or fitted. However, if fitting, use or damage has actually reduced the tyre's value, that reduction may be taken into account under the conditions provided by law.
4. Refunds following withdrawal
Dr. Rubber refunds all amounts due without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the date on which Dr. Rubber is informed of the decision to withdraw.
Dr. Rubber may withhold the refund until the tyres have been recovered or the customer has provided proof of dispatch, whichever occurs first.
The refund is made using the same payment method used for the order, unless the customer expressly agrees to another method that incurs no fees. Additional costs resulting from the express choice of a more expensive delivery method than the standard option offered are not refunded.
Where the original delivery was free, no delivery charge is added to the refund because the customer did not pay one.
5. After-sales returns, non-conforming products or errors attributable to Dr. Rubber
If the product received does not match the order, has a defect that may be covered by a statutory guarantee, or an order preparation error is attributable to Dr. Rubber, the customer should contact contact@dr-rubber.fr, stating the order number and the nature of the problem.
Where a return is necessary to bring the product into conformity under a statutory guarantee or because of an error attributable to Dr. Rubber, the customer does not bear the cost. Dr. Rubber provides the arrangements for covering the return.
6. Dr. Rubber commercial warranty
Where advertised for the product concerned, Dr. Rubber's four-year commercial warranty covers the repair carried out when reconditioning the tyre. It is additional to statutory guarantees and does not replace them.
To make a claim under this warranty, the customer should contact contact@dr-rubber.fr with the order number and information identifying the problem. Dr. Rubber may request the return of the tyre for examination. Where the defect is recognised as covered by the warranted repair, the customer does not bear the costs necessary to exercise this warranty.
